Okay, all:
I just heard from Calie at the Center and they need our 2021 reading list turned in by September 2020.
So, it is once again time to start collecting your titles for our annual selection extravaganza, with voting scheduled for our August 7th meeting.
BIG QUESTION:
Do we want to keep our selection mix the same as last year?
We currently chose:
three biographies
two mysteries
two historical fiction
three non-fiction
two general fiction
2020 list is here:
And the runners-up in the voting for those categories became our alternative readings for each month.
We can change that mix, of course, to any combination we like.
More bestsellers? More classics? More writing from local authors?
Ponder this and start piling up those titles you definitely want to read next year.
We'll start discussions (and the first round of idea collection) during the April meeting.
We'll hash this out over the summer, and then have a final round of balloting on August 7.
We do have a LibraryThing page: https://www.librarything.com/catalog/1stFriday-McKinney
If you need credentials to log in, let me know.
(Open the "Potential Ideas" tab to see the (very diverse!) list in progress so far...)
